Volunteer of the Quarter
Bernie Tacheny, Rural Program Volunteer of the Quarter, has been helping deliver meals in Prunedale for over five years. Virginia Garcia, Program Coordinator, says she can always count on Bernie to be at the cold storage facility bright and early. “Then he’s off to deliver meals to people in North County, an area he knows well. He’s great with the clients and he knows a lot of people, so Bernie is a wonderful volunteer.”
Andrea Reclusado, Salinas Program Volunteer of the Quarter, has been delivering meals in Salinas since 2010. Rodolfo Minutti, Program Coordinator, says Andrea deserves the recognition because she helps almost every week and sometimes twice a week if he needs her. “She’s friendly, reliable, and the clients really like her.”
